About Heed

Heed means to pay careful attention. A warning to act before it's too late.

Our canary logo references the "canary in the coal mine", the original early warning system. Miners relied on canaries to detect danger before it became catastrophic. Heed serves the same purpose for international tax changes: we detect shifts early so you can respond, not react.

Heed started with a founder who lived the problem: tax resident in one country, a company in another, family and history in a third. Every year the rules moved in at least one of them, and every year the news arrived the same way: a line in an accountant's email after the deadline, a forum thread, a friend who had already been caught.

The information existed. It was published, in the local language, on a government portal nobody outside that country reads. What did not exist was anyone watching those sources for one person's exact situation and saying, in plain English, "this one is yours, and here is what to ask."

So we built the watcher. Heed reads the official sources, verifies each change against them, matches it to your residency, income and assets, and tells you early, while there is still time to plan. The founder is still the first user, with a real cross-border position running through the same feed you see.

We are a small, remote-first team who ship quickly and check our sources slowly. No adviser relationship, no commissions on your decisions, no data we do not need. The right information at the right time, not a thousand-page report delivered too late.
